Serves four
1 whole chicken, in peices
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic
1 28 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
3/4 cup chicken broth or water
1/4 cup dry red wine (optional)
3 tablespoons capers
2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon crushed
Salt
Pepper
Add the chicken to a 5 quart slow cooker. Combine the remaining ingredients in a large bowl and then pour over top of the chicken. Cover. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
