My name is Amy. I love to eat, bake, cook, read cookbooks and garden - I love everything to do with food!
Together with my husband and sous chef, David, I spend a lot of time in our kitchen and garden. We started this blog to document our creations.
Dave has recently became quite involved in CrossFit which introduced us to the concept of the paleo diet. Essentially, our diet focuses on lots of protein, vegetables, fruits, nuts and healthy fats. We avoid starches, grains, legumes, processed foods and refined sugars. Due to a family history of oesteoprosis (and a love for cheese), we do allow ourselves to eat full fat, high quality dairy in moderation. You can find out more on the paleo diet here.
Unfortunately, I can not seem to give up my love of baking so I am always on the search for willing "victims" to take my cookies and cupcakes.
When we are not in the kitchen, we are busy renovation our 100 year-old house in central Calgary. We blog about our renovation adventures at Adventures at 1628.
